Tonight we held our AGM at our usual meeting place, The Rock Cross Inn.
I would personally like to thank all of our members and friends of the branch who attended this momentous occasion, including:
- Nigel Caldicott – Who has been a close friend of the branch for many years and had recently helped plan our memorial service to Captain Geoffrey Wallace in August of this year.
- Carol Woods – A new face & member to our branch, but has been assisting her husband Jim Woods, who has been our poppy appeal organiser for many years now.
- Christine Clarke – Who has been Lay Preacher at St, Peter & St. Paul Church in Rock Village for the past 3 years.
After a warm welcome from our current chairman Martyn Carter, and the minutes of the last AGM read out by myself, the chairman asked for all members to stand down from their positions and our president, Brian Baldwin, started voting proceedings.
All branch members voted, and the results were as follows:

- President: Brian Baldwin
Congratulations to everyone in acquiring your new positions for the coming year and I would like to say thank you for once again making me branch secretary, I look forward to the busy year ahead.
After all formalities were over, a look to the future was in store for our members.
I presented the new branch Website to the delight of our members, most of which had put in their own ideas and views of how they would like to present the branch online.
I have spent a lot of time with our chairman going through the branch history, news stories of past events and also scouring through paperwork that covers past members and minutes of original meetings from when the branch started.
From this information, we have been compiling a list of posts, that will be published onto the new website over the next few months, please check the News section frequently for updates.
